I think bone meal might have a bit of that effect as well, but it also brings other nutrients to the party. I'm hardly an expert, but I think that combo would balance out. I suspect most things with calcium are probably going to raise the pH some. 

Really, a person should just do a soil test kit every year to understand where they're starting. Next year, I swear... 🤞
