One of my favourite examples of brutalist architecture; Wohnpark Alterlaa is an apartment complex that consists of 6 buildings all located in a picturesque park. I had the opportunity to see this building in person today while visiting Vienna, Austria. The buildings host around 12,000 people, feature a rooftop swimming pool, sports arena, and shopping mall, and have a dedicated train station nearby. https://image.nostr.build/ff8decfc5d279f957e724b8baba87f7cc2a1acb2c8ae2d398c258956af963a5b.jpg https://image.nostr.build/5873589f1f10421d903857476be3abd5f012c62bfe2c5f472a49cae963506ce2.jpg
It’s been interesting to see the prevalence of renewable energy here in Europe. Just recently Portugal announced they were able to run 100% on renewables. One thing most noticeable here has been windmills. I think a tall windmill could serve double functionality for a farmer as it would allow him to generate additional power but her could also use the high vantage point it creates to monitor his property.
