Every year around this time I start to wonder, how many of those giant 5 foot decorative spiders could actually survive in a given neighborhood.
Like, how big would their range have to be? Can they overlap? How many squirrels, cats, and kids would they require to eat, and how often?
I did the math last year I think, but it's lost now. Something like 1 per 5 blocks? Maybe more?
Any #arachnologist or #WildlifeBiologist or #SpookyNerd want to take a stab?
Sometimes when I'm feeling empty I think of the time back in 2016 when my bus got hung up in traffic because of a march going through the Seward neighborhood, so I hopped off to check it out.
And within minutes I was surrounded by a hundred people yelling TRANS LIVES MATTER and I just sobbed and sobbed for how absolutely much I needed to hear that in that exact moment.
This is me yelling it back to you -- TRANS LIVES MATTER! __YOU__ MATTER
Don't let the fuckers get us down
A good groove and a tight band is so much more important than a clean recording. You can hear so much "room" in the vocals you could probably sketch the shape and size of it.
But this song and this performance are so strong that it totally drew me in.
