Things have escalated here since I took a rescue axolotl in to my care. I didn't have any equipment, or knowledge about said creature, but at least I am eager to learn.
Water specs are a panic issue, and feeding is another. Starving poor baby needs those thicc larvae to munch, but too much nitrite in da water so shouldn't feed before that settles.
I will def look at the beautiful aquariums with different kind of respect after learning what it takes to care for one.

Whales are the ones that got on land because back in the days it was all the hype. Then they got sick of all that bullshit and decided to go back like byeee...!
People are daily being bullied to do and live the way they don't want to. It's just become a norm. If you can't or won't do it, you're a weirdo, an outcast. The fine tones of "us and them" are everywhere.

I like the idea of podcasts, but simply don't have the attention span to listen them.
Half an hour is what I can do, taking doggy for a walk and listen. And at the same time I realise it's too short of a time to dig deeper on most topics.
Yes, surely could stop in the middle and return, but there is just so many things, I never do.

Sure! I like longform on nostr to bring things to my attention I haven't even thought about. Somehow reading is more tangible way too, 'cause when I listen words just flow in to the thin air and I cannot return to check the wording of some sentence to make sure I understood what was said 😅

I kinda feel like retreating to one of those small/dead northern Italy villages for the winter. Shitty internet, biggest event of the day would be walking my dog or buying groceries. Books, exploring, or whatever pops up. Learning to sit with that discomfort of not being entertained every minute. Kids would make this a hc challenge 😂

I rarely handle cash these days. Now that I got some of that stuff, it strikes me how crazy are we to trust fiat money.
There is no gold behind that cash to guarantee its value. There is nothing. Basically that's just fancy paper. That old fifty note looks totally different than the newer one, yet I'm supposed to believe it has the same value.
And then how much that 50 can buy is reduced every year.
That is just theft.
