I have over 15000-20k btc lost forever. I know a fair amount who have lost 100k. A tail emission makes mathematical sense and many other BIPs do. Currently miners have been mining at losses that basic calculus has shown for years.being back up in the realm of breaking even currently. Itβs a dead project. They will not get consensus in Core. Itβs a useless coin. Swapped half to to XMR and a 1/4 to btc in chain. Where most my preferred vendors accept. I use to tip with LN on here but with Garnet and BirdPay now I can use with monero my lighting usage is becoming less and less. Still left a quarter of it in sats cause they come in handy for like the maple syrup guy and vendors like him.
So once again it appears no one can actually say why monero isnβt better than Bitcoin in every aspect except for the price, which is dwindling currently. 21 million Bitcoin forever going to zero. My prediction is by 2063 there will be under 100k Bitcoin. Scarcity is great but when no schedule to replace the lost ones(which is a lot and ever growing) which in fact means there never be 21 million by the time the last block is mined.

Please have a better answer than Lightning. I like the potential of covenants. But really secure privacy isnβt a sole in LN without using Bolt12 and still only projects one sides privacy, and not great.

How is it the most decentralized? My metrics show solo mining with RandomX decentralized it a lot more.
