Spilling over floor
white light, bright as a lantern.
Behold: Hunter’s Moon.

The night chill subsides,
leaving behind dew on woods.
Thankful, not yet frost.

Two Red Heads
from 2004
1
Black satin adorns her,
sitting high above him.
Barely covered, she smiles.
Displayed: glorified.
Satin like the sheets—-
bra strap gracefully falling.
2
White as morning frost on window
pear-shaped bottom.
Small-chested, faceless,
emotionless, beneath.
Black and white print.

Heroin Chic
from 2024
Bubble butt
Thunder thighs
in the era of emaciation
parading as beauty.
My young self
thinking I’m just a brain
travelling in a 5’5” 125lbs
body
still
never recovered from that
special brand of
dysmorphia.
I wish I’d had a chance in this world
to be someone
to make something of myself
instead of having my
self-image,
esteem
skewered
over and over.

Not feeling great today but struggling with unhealthy guilt at “wasting a day”. Still working on reframing that into “taking a much needed day off” or something… also it’s a Saturday so what’s being wasted?? #deconstruction
Finding the original 1995
Buccaneers on Kanopy
brings me back to stumbling across
the VHS set in the library
watching with my best friend at
16
pizza and laughter and gossip
and the new series
caught between airplane naps
a couple months ago.

That forest of gold
of my youth, summer nights fill
with song of crickets.

It’s baffling to me how difficult it is for many of us, most of us, to imagine what a post scarcity world be like to live in. Then again I couldn’t imagine it, not so long ago. #postscarcity #imagine #economics
