Sincerely hope the cyclist is okay; they probably won’t feel it for a while until the adrenaline wears off. They got lucky.

I’ve been hit (twice) while riding my bike before (worst one I was hit perpendicularly, rolled onto the hood of a car that failed to stop at a crossing from a highway offramp; broke the windshield with my back; I was in high school). I can’t imagine being struck/squeezed _between_ two vehicles, let alone one of them being a truck (of any kind).
