I played a show this weekend in Sacramento with Electric Ex. Probably the best show we've played. The crowd was incredible, sound was great, and we even had a light show!
I want Nostr to be a bit more diverse in terms of content I see when I log in. All bitcoin all the time is a bit exhausting. Let me see what I can do to tailor my feed.
Thanks to the help of the nice folks on the Jellyfin support forum I was able to figure out why my Jellyfin clients weren't fully loading all the media artwork. My hunch was that Nginx was fouling something up. Turns out I was right but it's actually the result of a Jellyfin bug. Here's the forum post for ref: https://forum.jellyfin.org/t-solved-only-blurred-placeholder-images-being-displayed
Having second thoughts about running all my containers rootless. Container network access logs now only show the container's bridge network ip address as opposed to external ip addresses with connection requests. Makes it hard to implement fail2ban.
Sure! I reinstalled my os and had to re-add the Alby extension to Firefox. Every time I reached this URL (https://getalby.com/extension/connect?code=<special code>) it would just get stuck there and not redirect. I tried disabling a few other browser extensions that might have interfered but to no avail.
My wife baked cinnamon buns from scratch and made cream cheese frosting for said buns. I had1.5 buns slathered in frosting and a couple glasses of milk. So good. Immediately addicting.
Beautiful. Finally got my self-hosted site/blog up and running. See my profile for the link. (how do you create clickable links in nostr posts, anyway?).. For whatever reason it took me forever to get off my ass and set up a tls certificate which is what was stopping me from publishing a site. --- Here's the stack: alpine linux, hugo, certbot, podman, nginx. Blog post about how I built the blog is forthcoming. off to divide by zero.
Interesting.. after my first post after nip-05 verification I received a couple DMs from what seem to be relays. One includes a service disclaimer. The other didn't include anything. They both have a long string that starts with "lnbc".
I have a free Spotify account - haven't had a paid one in years. Got tired of the algos and prefer the delight of finding new music in other corners. On the streaming services that I've experienced while looking through an artist's album catalogue often what is revealed is a scattered and sometimes false discography.
Jellyfin is set up. Haven't had Spotify in like 3 years so being able to stream my own curated library without algos yelling at me is just wonderful. Shoutout to Finamp too. Sweet app as well.
nostr:note1zkdztmflwe8pwpg0umxesl38plu837fdvmdctfekx5lrl6qxu0uqr7xge9 Correction: Had a tumblr account. I found it and it was my recent attempt at starting a blog. Thank you, Tumblr, for giving your users the option to delete their accounts. Rather have a self-hosted one anyways.
The extension did not plug in to my account. Yes, I'm logged in. Extension updated on 1/17. I may try again on a fresh browser without any other extensions enabled and see what happens.
