 Does anyone offer a hosted relay where I can configure it to allow only people I follow to write to it, but allow anyone to read from it? 

 I want it to update the allow list whenever I follow or unfollow people. Bonus if it does not allow people I mute to read from it.

 It doesn’t look like it offers a feature of a dynamic allow list based my follow list. That’s the feature I’m looking for. I don’t want to have to manually update the allowed pubkey list.

 I think they get sent for any event that contains your pubkey in the tags for the event 

 I just changed my setting only send push notifications from people I know. That should solve the problem. 

 I think nostr.band has a crawler that goes and finds most content. Just doesn’t find content that people purposely make hard to find like when trying to make a point about clients needing to implement outbox model. 

 I often go find that content and blast it out to all the relays though 🤣

 Wait till fees suddenly spike and your channel gets forced closed. I know that affected Alby Hub users during the last spike. 

 I’m not using Alby Hub. I just saw posts about it during that last major spike we had with that stupid yield generating scam. 

 I ran a few different nodes for about 4 years and it didn’t happen to me often, but it does happen. Sometimes it can be really painful. Ask @The Fishcake🐶🐾 

 I don’t doubt it’s awesome. Lightning just gets chaotic during high fee environments and if you’re not a pro, it can be difficult to manage. We’re in a low fee environment now, but it probably won’t last that long. 

 It all depends how you use lightning. Keep tinkering and you’ll keep learning. 🫡 

 Yeah I don’t run a node anymore unless you count using Phoenix as running a node. I’m glad the option to run my own node exists in case I ever have a need to do that again though.
