 They solve the problem of not having to copy pasta your nsec everywhere. On web I use @Alby extension for nip-07. On iOS I use @nostore. @Amber uses nip-55 and is what I use on Android. https://nsec.app works for any platform.

 Why would they need your nsec? Their software could just ask you to sign a nostr event which can be done without giving them your nsec.

 I’ve switched to storing an encrypted version of my private key and copy that around instead the raw private key or nsec

You can use nak to encrypt your private key.

For login, I usually use nip-07, nsec.app, Amber, or run my own bunker using nak. 

 Clients can’t post notes that are not signed by your private key 

 That’s one of the rules of Nostr that will never change just like how the 21 million cap of Bitcoin will never change

 It looks like you don’t have any relays set up on Primal. Primal uses a different relay list than Damus. Damus is following an old spec and haven’t gotten around to using the new spec yet.

 My guess is Primal only broadcasted the note to their relay. It will not automatically propagate to other relays. 

 Yeah unfortunately you have to add it there as well. It’s under Settings => Network. There’s only 2 relay list specs though so you should be good in all clients after you do that.
