It's chilly and misty right now in the Twin Cities. I'm waiting for things to dry out so I can take a walk.
This has been one of the coolest, most wet early summers that I've experienced since moving to MN in 2008.
I feel kind of guilty because the rest of the world is on fire right now.
Just remember that god inflicted death and suffering on Adam and Eve after they ate of the tree of knowledge.
God lost his shit because humans chose knowledge over ignorance and he exacted revenge because that threatened his authority.
Authority always tries to keep people in a state of ignorance because it's easier to control people who remain ignorant.
Regardless of the authoritarian in question, knowledge is power and the bastards in charge don't want you to have it.
Sadly, I reflexively expect to be second guessed and gaslighted even by supportive cis people in my life because there has always been an unspoken vibe of, "Yes, we love you. We care about you but really, you're still kind of crazy and unstable because of who you are. Not everything you say is trustworthy."
Not every cis person I know but enough have carried this vibe.
