Folks, you may find it hard to believe, but the reality is: the vast majority of the web runs on PHP, MySQL, and jQuery.
I'm seriously thinking about renting a spot at the airport and transforming it into my office because the productivity levels I achieve here are wild...
It breaks my heart to see dozens of my friends not making public their open-source projects because they are afraid of what other people may think. JUST HIT THAT PUBLISH BUTTON! 🔥

Another Pest release today! As you may know, Pest is the first testing framework in the world natively supporting "Type Coverage". And now, you can ignore specific lines from the type coverage report by using the `pest-ignore-type` annotation. Just what you asked for! 💅🏻

We've just released Pest 2.20, which includes the new 'toBeBetween' expectation, which, as you may expect, allows you to check if the given number (or date) is between the given min and max. ✅

Arriving in Paris tomorrow night — if anyone wants to chill/chat, let me know! 🇫🇷 Also, if there are any dev events, give me a shout!
Is anyone in the community willing to contribute a logo for Pail? Here is the base svg: https://github.com/laravel/pail/blob/main/art/logo.svg. 🪣
I've just transferred Pail to Laravel's GitHub org and added more filter options like --level and --message. https://github.com/laravel/pail

Next: Exception trace! Would you prefer this shown by default or with the -v option? If default, how many frames do you wish to see?

Putting the finishing touches on this pull request, which integrates the Livewire stack with Laravel Breeze! I've just created a draft pull request for everyone interested in testing it out locally – can't wait for your insights! https://github.com/laravel/breeze/pull/314
Life is short. Always put family first. Work can wait.
I understand that the $ sign has been a thing in PHP since PHP 1. I'm wondering how challenging it would be for PHP to support properties, parameters, and variables internally without the $ sign. And, for backward compatibility reasons, support both syntaxes. 🤔

Here is the hard truth: tech influencers are the ones shaping perceptions and trends in web development; they pretty much define what the industry standards are these days.
Continuing to work on the Livewire stack for Laravel Breeze. Using "wire:navigate" as much as I can, so it feels like an SPA — avoiding the overhead of re-downloading JavaScript and CSS assets on every request. 💅🏻
