Consider the case of the soldier who bolted into North Korea.

After his return to the US, he was sent to a medical center for evaluation. Discipline may (probably) follow only after he's re-adjusted to being here. In the meantime, the concern is about his mental health.

In any other place (except maybe the Five Eyes and some EU countries), that soldier would be (brutally) disappeared.

 Say, #ICANN registrars, did you know that #WordPress is offering free transfers and an add-on year to #Google Domains victims, who will soon be tortured by #Squarespace?

WordPress is a tinker-toy registrar with limited functionality. And who knows what evils lie in Squarespace's handling of the transfers? Plus Google wasn't all that great (you can't have dynamic DNS simultaneously for #IPv4 and #IPv6).

Lots of us are waiting for a "real" registrar to make us an offer. Here's hoping some do. 

 I’m often critical of #Massachusetts legislators who appear to spend their days in #Boston figuring out how to spend, spend, spend as if the middle class’s pockets are bottomless. 

But not when it comes to free meals for all public school students in the state. 

It’s long overdue. 

This is the kind of program only government can do. No kid should ever spend a day hungry in this country.
