First job I had was programming for a mobile device with 4MB RAM, of which 2 MB were reserved, and a 🐌-slow ARM CPU.
Even though it's been ages, I still catch myself coding for a device like that, even though the code is running on something with a bajillion times the resources and it doesn't really matter if it takes 10 or 100ms.
Old habits die hard
I think that's definitely one reason. I think there's another major difference that's common amongst twitter addicts: they rely on "the algorithm" to gain followers and influence, which is s lot harder to do when there's no central nostr algorithm that rewards click/rage-bait and short gotcha arguments.
The largest advocate for (and provider of) this bombing don't have to deal with the many refugees from the conflicts they initiate or participate in.
Guessing they knew this going in
When they are pressured all the smoke and mirrors about how dollars are created disappears and they openly suggest doing what they've been doing all along
It is optimized for time to market and low cost. JS devs are a lot cheaper than the alternatives and the output (crappy and bloated as it is) runs ok-ish on most platforms without much effort if you have a new-ish fast computer with lots of cores, an SSD and 32+GB RAM, which most of the developers and execs ofc do.
The end user on the other hand often uses a device that's a lot slower and/or older and are often running lots of these turd apps at the same time eating up ressources and bogging their system down.
Fuckers should be forced to use a 5 year old laptop with 4GB of ram a few days a week 😆

When I hear religious nutjobs use their religious texts to justify that men are above women, that husbands can beat their wives, that child rape is legal and that apostates have to be killed - then I use my own judgement and decide those people (and their books) are immoral and evil.
Exactly, they are not with us, so humans interpret the verses in those books. Even if the books were perfectly preserved, that has no impact on whether the contents are true, if I have a perfectly preserved 2000 year old book that says "2+2 is 5", that doesn't mean it's true.

I base my value judgements on my opinions yes, they are of course heavily influenced by the culture and time I grew up in and are subject to change if I encounter new information or convincing arguments.
