The Mexican bush sage was full of activity and drama. This hummingbird quietly fed nearby at a little patch of Grevillea. I can relate—will avoid crowds whenever possible. https://media.mas.to/masto-public/media_attachments/files/111/189/717/406/198/306/original/4b974b90c81dbf76.jpeg

I’m in Gaviota and was able to get this slo mo of a dragonfly landing on its perch. I think it’s a meadowhawk. The slo mo on my camera requires me to pre-focus and then hope it’s capturing at just the right moment so this took awhile. https://media.mas.to/masto-public/media_attachments/files/111/076/280/848/397/116/original/12bd11096739d806.mp4
