Christchurch is over represented in covid stats and has been for ages. Student numbers? The weather? Or people just don’t care about one another and pass covid around with abandon?
If lots of people aren’t masking, or staying home when sick, and we know that 1 in 10 of all cases result in long covid, and 55% of cases are asymptomatic, but the more times you catch covid the more likely you are to need hospital or ICU and long term care (likely from unpaid family members), and brain damage occurs in every case, then why aren’t (at the very least) our NZ politicians masking?

Because just like everywhere else there’s money to be made by sacking public servants and buying in consultants and contractors at exorbitant rates. Look overseas to the places that have done this. What a mess!
