Those values can't be very "core" if the media don't defend them and tens of millions support Trump and his ilk.

Sask premier says school pronoun policy based on wide consultation, but judge says there's no evidence of that.

When people keep electing lying, hateful bigots, there's something systemically wrong with "Western democracy".

Why are reporters still calling Uber a "ride sharing service"?

Surely buses and trains are more sharing than the typical Uber or Lyft ride?
‘I saw how grotesquely unqualified so many of us were’: Rory Stewart on his decade as a Tory MP

If you look at productivity growth since the 1970s, a 20 hour week should be easy to manage.

But it's all gone to billionaires' yachts* and giant SUVs which hasn't really made any of us happier.

* And, more to the point, to billionaires' increasing control over every aspect of our lives.

I used to use examples of logical fallacies from the newspaper, while teaching a practical logic course.

I tried to find some recently but it's mych harder. Too many politicians don't even bother stringing sentences together.
'We are not backing down': Premier Moe says legislation on parental rights coming this fall | CBC News

"Parental rights" are rights taken from children; an attempt to make children into property.

People don't gain any more rights when they have children, they gain obligations.

This is anti-trans legislation, nothing more.
