#WritersCoffeeClub day 5.
What are your writing project goals?
Get stuff finished? Get stuff even out of my head & onto a page?
Ultimately, I'd like to get my work published, & I'd like it to be commercially successful enough that I can change it to being my actual dayjob & have more time for the garden, house, & other projects.
#WritersCoffeeClub day 1.
Intro: Shameless self-promotion. What's your WIP? What's it about?
This month I'm playing with an idea that's a tropey sci fi bordering on space opera.
300 years ago the Angelicus departed Earth, the descendents of its original crew destined to colonise a distant planet. Nearing their destination, the ship reveals people held in stasis ready to help with landing & adjusting to life on land.
A lot can happen in 300 years though & the planet's no longer uninhabited...
#WordWeavers day 1.
Introduce your MC from the perspective of the antagonist.
Her? You want me to talk about that abomination? She should have died three hundred years ago and now she comes here? Lecturing us? She has no idea what our ancestors endured after she left. Her view of Earth bears no relation to our historical records or the evidence viewed when we have visited the origin planet.
And yet they seem to worship her? Both back on Earth & the crew of the invasion ship.
Inconceivable!
