 @efa2e20e Unfortunately it is on the noisier side of preamps. They are working on a firmware update and maybe they’ll fix some of that, I’m excited to see the update when it launches.

 @efa2e20e I just bought it because I needed a new phone and it was the newest version and it was a decent size. So I should get 6-7 years of use out of it and when that cost is amortized over 6 years that’s a fair price to me.

CSB - I always advocate everyone watch multiple reviews from different people on a product prior to purchasing because people have different experiences, different uses, and that can identify differing pros/cons that might apply to the person researching the gear. So it’s great that you’re watching multiple reviews from different people. That’s the way to do it. 

 @efa2e20e @e23d4596 @d15d8bb8 If it’s a mic that’s actually a counterfeit, I really wouldn’t want to cover that on my channel because I think that’s unethical and the counterfeiting is also illegal. But I would love to hear it next to a proper SM7b. 

Also Gene - The channel you were commenting on was my podcast channel. That’s not why I’m thought of as the mic guy. That one is still under 10,000 subs. My main channel is Podcastage, and that one has over 300,000 subs. To me that seems like a lot. Haha.
