💜 with love and kindness, just wrote the post frustrated after it took me 20 minutes just to tag 5 different people in a row, some having display names, some usernames and some folks without any accounts, just text
can we finally figure out a proper way of tagging users on nostr?
spending 20 minutes on it, swapping between 5 clients, only to have the spacing wrong or usernames not show or npubs not process
👉👈
people with low follower counts and/or space in their username(@FirstName _ LastName), and then having them all show up properly in a list
plus if i'm about to tag somebody, have it prioritised on who i follow instead of being alphabetical
(image: for example, if i wanted to tag you, some folk who i've never seen nor follow pop up as top recommendations) https://image.nostr.build/1f6433a05cb633e600e11d9c2a735355d06b65a022ba1670948e2dfdf4c59d10.jpg
yeah, with a single name and bigger follower count it's easy. doing a list of folks with less follower counts and commas and everything, it gets more complicated
love the nostr folks breaking my balls about the specifics of what i actually mean behind my posts. it has forced me into learning how to express myself better.
keep at it.
when push comes to shove, there'll only be a handful of folks here ready to die for their freedom
for most lads here (including myself), it wouldn't take a lot of button pushing from the govs to give in
such as being forced into an ultimatum between freedom and family, health or general well-being
i'm assuming a big amount of the folk here are consumers/lurkers more than creators. so whilst the lurker might advocate for the protocol, they might not see content that would gather their attention as much
TL;DR advocating for tech ≠ advocating for the content
(this is me assuming and playing devil's advocate)
i'm just trying to argue the point, that just because you like the tech, doesn't mean you find any content here that gathers your attention, making you want to spend time here scrolling around
i'm not trying to be right here
i'm just curious about how you think, bc you have an interesting mind and way of explaining things
hope i didn't come across the wrong way, just a friendly discussion
it's okay, you're direct and honest about what you think and stand for, which i like a lot 🤗
this is getting abstract and further from your initial post, but for example:
let's say you start making and selling t-shirts, that i'm not a big fan of, but i do care about you. is me not buying your shirts showing that i do not care about you?
this is getting so abstract, i'm getting dizzy 😆
hmm, what i'm saying is that i can like and support him building his business vocally, without wearing the shirt
not consuming content (wearing the shirt) ≠ not caring about the folks creating content on nostr (them building their shirt business)
i can dislike the designs and not wear them, yet still be in support of his business
i hope i got my point across 🤗
