Just woke up to my phone buzzing and buzzing with total fire ban warnings and fire weather warnings, and my sleepy brain went
"Gee, I never remember it being like this when I was growing up!"

Then, the other brain bits fired up and went
"Um, yeah, but apart from how humans have damaged the planet, you didn't have push messaging, apps, and mobile phones when you were growing up, either!"
