 Is “Fix the Money Fix the World” really true? Is it biblical?

Romans 1 teaches that upstream of personal brokenness is the foolishness of worshipping and serving The Creation rather than our Creator. God in his justice gives us over to be ruled but the false gods of our own making thus leading to the debasement of our moral lives as we become like what we worship. 

1 Samual 8 helps us see that upstream of societal brokenness is the foolishness of worshipping and serving The State rather than our Creator. God in his justice gives us over to be ruled by the tyrants of our own making thus leading to the debasement of our economic and social lives as we become like what we submit to.

Christ will fix both of these in the New Heavens and New Earth but until then we are called to use every tool that we can to undo the idolatry in our own hearts and in society. Bitcoin is one of the most effective tools that we have to overcome and reverse the social debasement caused by the State’s attempt at playing God.  

As for fixing the moral debasement of our own hearts, only returning to the ancient wisdom of the Scriptures and living under the Lordship of Christ and the Grace of God will lead to flourishing and truly satisfying joy.
