Moon Jellyfish, Aurelia aurita, are only mildly venomous to humans and cause only minor irritation.
However, they play a major role marine ecosystems as predators and prey. They are generally at the will of ocean currents for movement outside of slow pulsations. They live in both coastal and deep oceanic waters with a lifespan around 1 year.
