 @2fd7551e Copy and paste is as you say, just a copy. This actually moves the messages from a DM to a thread, then the thread can be turned into a private channel.

 So last week I found a #privacy #security #exploit in Slack - I reported it on #HackerOne - but I got the reply it was working as intended.
