I follow the news but it wasn't until just now that I learned that one of the main issues behind the likely defunding of all US government civilian agencies is, get this, that the Republicans want to stop giving money to Ukraine.
They claim that "border security" is their biggest issue, but when an adversary country sends troops and tanks over a border, they suddenly get all peace and love.
It's very reminiscent of the 30s.

@e814e036 a 6.3 in chile is like a 4.3 in LA. Note that the news calls it a "strong tremor" rather than an earthquake. To be considered a "terremoto" you need to be 7 or above, but really 7.5 for most people to care.
@348f4b7b thanks for the update. But I'm confused about something. If this is war, aren't they captured, not kidnapped? Not following closely so I'm probably missing something
