about | My name is Joseph and I am a semi-professional writer and sometimes thinker. I live, work, worship, and write in East Texas, with my lovely wife, Jesse. I've always enjoyed reading and writing fiction and non-fiction, and gravitate between the two depending on my mood. I serve as a deacon in a small, Reformed Baptist Church.
This account includes snippets and thoughts from my former column in the Greenville Herald-Banner, along with a smattering of other things on my mind. Usually publish my column weekly, on a Saturday, then post other stuff somewhere along the way. This may include Tolkien and Lewis, Tocqueville and Pascal, plenty of Burke and plenty of Scripture, thoughts on culture and what that word may or may not even mean, and a whole lot of movies and books. |
