The Republican Party tried to kill our aid to Ukraine when they need it most, as Russia prepares for a massive winter assault.
That’s what we should be focusing on, not a false fire alarm in the House. A large faction of the GOP is a literal fifth column in the US government.
This whole process is completely bugfuck nuts.
The Republican Party is an outright terrorist organization, holding an entire country hostage for their sick fantasy grievances. It’s disgusting beyond belief.
tbh I do sometimes pointlessly worry about biden being too old for another term, but then i remember there’s an excellent constitutionally mandated replacement for him if something bad happens.
Any journalist, pundit, or “influencer” who says they’re staying on Twitter to bravely stand up and push back against Elon and his fascists is full of shit.
They stay on Twitter because they still think it’s better for their careers.
Tim Cook is aware of the problems with right wing hate speech at XTwitter. On CBS Sunday Morning he was asked why Apple continues to advertise with Musk, and he said the antisemitism is “abhorrent” and “it’s something we constantly ask ourselves.”
Maybe it’s time to stop asking and start doing.
Texas Republicans are letting Ken Paxton get away with his corruption and crimes, probably the least surprising news of the day.
This is what the GOP is, a lawless, corrupt bunch of goons and criminals.
Today I heard never-trumper Steve Schmidt on MSNBC saying Mitch McConnell was “like a turtle sticking its head in the sand,” and I thought, “Dude, turtles don’t do that.”
One thing Elon Musk has definitely succeeded doing at XTwitter: the eight buck chumps are right up at the top of every conversation thread now, and it’s every bit as horrible as anyone could have predicted.
I quit Twitter yesterday; locked my account and put up a post denouncing the cesspool and linking to my accounts on Mastodon and Bluesky.
I’m not deleting the account because I’ve had tons of trouble with impersonators in the past and I don’t want the name to become available.
It doesn’t happen too often, but I actually approve of something the European Union did: forcing Apple to use USB-C ports in their mobile devices. About frickin’ time.
