It seems like it can be possible to use relays(or a relay) for multiplayer game worlds, due to the fact that you can open two different clients using the same keys and access the exact same info when they are targeting the same relay.
In such a case, different relays could host different virtual worlds, which can be accessed from a game client held within a nostr app.
Now if someone can tell me how to integrate the Godot engine to develop on nostr, it could be possible to build 3D virtual worlds, or very nice 2D worlds.
Probably though, there is going to be a bandwidth limitation, which may limit these worlds to a set server tick rate for any actions to be pushed.
Those are all important points for us to recognize when making these decisions.
Another factor is the stability of metal as a physical object, existing on it's own merits. You take a piece of gold out of the market pool and even if all the markets break apart, that metal still exists and retains it's value from rarity, and can still be traded locally.
The main flaw I see in digital currencies, is that for them to exist and keep their liquidity, the market pool also needs to exist and function.
If and WHEN the governments in the west begin faking hacking attacks on the power grid and/or finance systems (late this year possibly), it's going to be a lot safer to hold physical assets that can retain their value intrinsically, on it's own physical merits.
Power cuts might effect the price of crypto transfers and mining, which may raise the price as well, or possibly crash the whole network if severe enough. The same goes for a rare but increasingly likely solar flare taking down the network and possibly wiping out half of the crypto pool.
I see crypto currencies as a transfer medium, while metals are firmly seen as a storage medium. I'm no expert though... happy to hear counters to this.
A lot of this might come down to how much of these assets we are talking about. High level finance on the short term, crypto wins in my mind. But for the average person/individual it seems that metals is the best bet for storage, while digital is the best for speculation and liquidity.
Although, I am still bullish on silver over the next 5 years.
Unleashed.chat is an online data privacy friendly LLM interface?
Because of my 150kb/s download speeds and lack of time to learn, I'm waiting for a one click install LLM which is just large enough to train, and then train it on my own chosen data, so I can work on my ideas in a vacuum. Teach it to code, to do philosophy etc.
I don't know if that is unreasonable top expect though.
Do you know of any one click install(or close to) local LLM applications?
I've a 150kb/s download speed :(
I'm hoping there will soon be small language models, which are just large enough to train.
As an aside, I'm curious what you think of the idea of modelling AI models on how the mammalian brain functions at the macro level, instead of just using a singular LLM by itself.
The right hemisphere is for Perceiving the overall, keeping our perspective wide to assess for risks and danger.
The left is for reaching out into the world, predatory functions, judgements and the minute details.
We mammals cannot properly function in society or the world in general without both hemispheres. Split brain experiments sheds a lot of light on how this can play out.
LLM's seems to be more similar to the analogy of the left hemisphere.
Where the right hemisphere functionality of an LLM would be more powerful using metaphor and would have a superhuman ability to perceive and hold relevant contexts.
Technological inventions often find success through a modelling of nature.
This has likely come to be, because those who have been entrenched at the top of the wealth ladder, have had more time and resources to secure(together) their positions through exercising the power of that wealth.
Which allowed them to come up with many clever ideas, such as getting their slaves incorporated at as young an age as possible as an essential component of staying alive on average.
Let us just say at age 16 with social security(but it goes deeper really to birth certs and ecclesiastic law under commercial states/estates etc etc)
But never mind the securing of bondage/slavery. They were smart enough not to exclude capturing the minds of their slaves through the school system.
Which is why I once had the idea to try to build a computer game or minecraft community/server, which simulates law and jurisdictions, in order to teach children how know how to protect their estate purely from playing an mmorpg of some kind.
Maybe someday i can do this on Nostr, and less likely to get shut down.
Considering the relays, it may be possible to have experts play the role of judges and gain zaps or whatever, while sucessful players get to keep their estate(sats? i dunno..) or the judges and attorneys will take pieces of it through soliciting.
Anyway, you are correct, that it is not enough try to halt a wave with a surfboard. We have to get in there and start moving the seabed, trammelling new undercurrents to suck the momentum of these waves and slow the tide.
With the uncensored network, it might be one of the few chances left to make educational games that could truly educate fast and efficiently, to turn the tide. Play is one of, if not the fastest, way of learning.
"Mans Maturity: Rediscovering the seriousness had as a child at play." - Nietzsche
The artist might be the child who had to mature too quickly.
They skip adulthood and go straight to maturity, which is why they are often so playful. like old people who have the wisdom to see life as it is, and that it is what it is.
Most adults are still children from my view. Chasing after dreams like fiat currencies and believing they actually own property.
