Brook, founder of printrbot, asked on the bird site what would be the wish list as a printer builder. Here are some of my wishes:
1. Control board: CE compliant with genuine chips and genuine quality connectors. Would be great to have SBC integrated to run Klipper without PI. Open source obviously. I have a lot of other requirements/ideas on this topic, too short for a tweet.

@9c6f15da@16d1afba There is a huge problem today in the community. I think some companies are very noisy and are breaking the great open source aspect (don't get me wrong, I put many companies in there). I'll just keep sharing my work, learn from open source projects and continue to avoid those companies.
It is crazy how it has been constantly pushing to the bottom for so many years now...
Printables, Thingiverse, Cults3D, Thangs, MyMiniFactory, Pinshape and now Makerworld (and the hot story)...
And this is to help the customers? Make the 3DP community better?
Unbelievable how this tech moved from an open mindset to "it is mine", "I'll copy everything without credit", "open source but no source".
It is sad...
