Over the past decade I've come to fear big overhauls and redesigns of software because they've started to always make the software less functional and worse to use (but "prettier"/more minimalist). So naturally I was prepared to cry when I updated #Thunderbird. But the peeps at @40b06bed really did a good job! Because I can still have it look and function like before! This is how it's done. Everyone else - take notes!
@4764c84a Indeed. And if you move the folder after registering the things the tool will no longer work I'm sure. Unless you unregister and then re-register from the new location, since the menu things are just pointers to the folder.
@74178bce If there's one thing I've learned from @ed044e85 it's that it's always DNS.
I burned some food on the stove today and I'm sure somehow DNS was involved.
@4764c84a Oh, also, since it comes in a zip-file, you probably need to extract it into a folder, then place that folder wherever you want to keep it (preferably not in the Downloads-folder I think), and THEN run the register bat as admin in the new folder.
