I remember when I carried around my dad’s 35mm camera, it was a lot different to search and choose a photo, set up the camera and take the picture, but pressing the button was the final step.
This was before Photoshop, so once the picture was taken, it was permanently recorded on film.
Now everyone can take thousands of amazing quality pictures at any time, but there is a sort of reverence for the media itself that is lost if everyone can do it. You really know how to take a great picture. Glad to help you toward your goal.
I asked one of the folks and it was apparently a tribute to Mimi from the Drew Carey show or 3’s Company or something
… it was a bar crawl, whatever it was. Whenever 30 people get drunk, that’s a recipe for a brawl
ANYONE can write a pop country song.
All are written in a major key, the key of G,C or D
All are in 4/4 time
All follow this pattern:
Verse (4 lines)
Chorus (4 lines)
Verse
Chorus
Bridge (featuring 2 lines of solo)
Chorus
Chorus
That doesn’t take an AI to figure out, you just think of a figure of speech involving liquor and losing love. Then listen to country radio for 1 hour and copy what you hear.
Put a RIOS1931 strap on my McDowell Time Tidewater.
Picked it up from Maryland WatchWorks (where I also got the watch), which I can personally recommend for all watch servicing & repair needs.
The owner is certified by several major watch brands. Also a great guy to work for.

in a controlled double-blind experiment, subjects universally began moving their hands and fingers in specific patterns coinciding with the chord patterns and strumming motions of a guitar, a ritual known as “playing air guitar”; as well as nodding their heads forward and backward, a process known as “head banging”.
This is an honest question and I have a feeling someone will give me a solid answer.
When did the word “compute” switch from a verb
(ex: the brain computes sensory information)
to a noun (ex: this new chip has much greater compute)?
#asknostr
That’s wild. I thought the first “computers” were people in a room writing stuff on paper but I didn’t know something could have “compute” or do “compute” or whatever
That’s what’s great about here, I don’t feel like the oddball because I don’t know a random thing , I’d have been filleted on X for not knowing the latest slang term for instance
Definitely it’s funny how some words are in style at a particular time, like when Collusion was everywhere awhile ago, it was used over 30 times in House of Cards
Proof of Work for the pet portrait. Lots of work on it today, and it’s late and I didn’t have the best light for the pic, and I’ll probably add some more detail tomorrow.
Added in some of Duke’s favorite stuffed animals.
I just can’t get over how well this little blind, toothless Chihuahua was taken care of.Makes my heart happy.

Id pass based on the movement of the watch. And because I can make the holder.
Cheaper watches:
You can get several watches with Seiko NH35 movements for a couple hundred bucks.
Deep Blue makes FANTASTIC dive watches for a few hundred and they have sapphire crystals and all have either Seiko or Miyota movements
https://www.deepbluewatches.com
If you wanted a dressier watch you could give LeSablier Watches a look too. I saw these at a watch show recently and they are really amazing in person. The fit and finish is unbelievable!!

Get a NATO band from BluShark Straps that is as soft as a seatbelt
https://www.blusharkstraps.com
Or any kind of band from silicone to real ostrich from Panatime
https://panatime.com
And get me to make you a custom lined, padded cotton canvas watch holder.
I make them to order and post them on #watchroll #penroll here. I take sats.

Thanks for the inspiration to empty my pockets and see what I actually have with me on the daily.
Here’s my #EDC for the day.
Ridge wallet card with fiat clip. I need something to attach anything I carry so I don’t lose it so I attached some 550 Paracord to the fiat clip and a Nite Ize double gate S-biner to attach it to a belt loop.
Pentel EnerGel pen. Reasonably durable, and I have a few .7mm and 1.0mm with various metal barrels. I usually end up carrying a cheaper plastic one so I don’t feel too bad if I misplace it. The refills are REALLY cheap and they write unbelievably smoothly.
A small, lightweight notebook. I’ve got several larger and fancier notebooks, but with the amount of random ideas I jot down, it’s nice to get packs of 3 notebooks and put them all over the place so I always have one handy.
Haiku business card holder. Made of recycled soda bottles or something, but it holds a decent amount of business cards and has an excellent texture, plus it’s stood up to being put through the laundry several times and is in great shape.
My keys/prescription bottle, attached with a single piece of 550 Paracord instead of a keyring to minimize the jingling of keys in the pocket. I’ve attached a titanium carabiner between the keys and my prescription bottle so they are always handy in my pocket but safe from being lost because they clip to my right belt loop.

Thanks! I was inspired by a product called a Keycase that Ridge makes that basically looks like you make your keys into a Swiss Army knife format so they fold out and you’re only carrying around a single object.
Only 2 problems:
1. Max # of keys it holds is 7, I have more than that
2. It costs $85
I assume you meant the iconic introduction to “Thunderstruck”!
although if you meant the intro to the TV show “Thunder in Paradise” starring Terry “Hulk” Hogan, that’ll do as well!
