I have been lobbying my liberal, democrat-led school board to abandon Xitter but I haven't even had an email reply. All the principals and coaches across the county still use it. I don't know how bad it will have to get before they give up. Inertia, as we've seen, is a potent opponent.
@ba07ee6f , The Washington Post ran a story this week about dropping life-expectancies in Republican-led states. Easy access to guns and limited access to health care are both contributing to this trend. Horrible policies ruin lives.

The Post could start their own Mastodon server and give accounts to their own journalists and do the verification on their own. How is that not a more obvious verification signal? If I see 'writer@washingtonpost' I'm going to believe that's who it is if I know that's the Post's server handle.
This guy. Ralph Nader. If he can stop the Greens from supporting Cornell West, fine. But I will not forget his vanity campaign that gave us 8 years of Dubya Bush.

My employer buys the crappiest paper available, so I have to use an extra fine nib to avoid ink bleeding right through it. #FountainPen

The bear that speaks English, visits Portobello Rd, wears a hat, etc. and your concern is that the marmalade sandwiches he enjoys have anatomically incorrect bite shapes? :-) :ablobjoy:
