Morning all.
Those of us who no longer believe a word of what any establishment or mainstream media outlet tells us, for whatever reason, find ourselves having to assemble our own truth from events that occur around the world.
And these events, as presented on twitter can also be faked especially when they come from a single source.
Where they come from multiple sources (peoples phones for example) they are more likely to be true.
Humans are very good at making mental shortcuts that allow us to solve problems and make judgments quickly and efficiently - this is called heuristic thinking and it is thought to have evolved in us as a survival strategy.
Also, linked to this is Occam's Razor, a principle that states that if you have two competing ideas to explain the same phenomenon, you should prefer the simpler one.
So we should all be adequately prepared to make some sense of the world around us by applying the above, yet many of us choose the convenience of being spoonfed what the establishments and traditional news outlets around the world decide the truth is.
And they all tell us different stories and yet we choose to generally believe the words of our countrymen and their allies! This contradiction alone should inform us that someone must be telling lies.
So when you come in here berating us for questioning the narrative be aware that we are past capable of being shamed in to quiescence.
Many are now awake from this societal slumber, our evolutinary instincts have kicked in and unlike you we are now much better equipped to survive the environment we are now in.
Being skeptical these days may save your life.

Twenty years or so ago I programmed an accounting system based on ms vb and sql server that eschewed double entry accounting and instead just used a "spine" of transactions in a table (in very simple terms).
So I got very excited when the ethereum network came along because I envisaged using this blockchain ledger as an accounting system.
What put me off was the fact that every transaction (or journal in accounting terms) posted in the ethereum ledger would come at a cost making such a system cost ineffective.
I'm part way through the #xrd whitepaper and this idea that I had is starting to look interesting again ...
Sad I know. But I am an accountant after all. 🤓

Last night's #mtb ride was in Colden plantation #isleofman.
Colden's a little bit scary in daylight when it's dry, so we did the 3 "easy" trails.

#iota could be the backbone of decentralised social media if only they'd finish the bloody thing.
This media hysteria over taking sides vis a vis Palestine/Israel for me has parallels with the unvaccinated/vaccinated argument.
Because:
People aren't allowed a neutral view - about how to save lives.
People are being discriminated against and that seems to be OK as collateral damage.
Ultimately I wonder, which will kill more.
Vaccines or religion.

I own the #sony #ierz1r and #64audio #nio and although both are great iems imo the ierz1r has manufacturing issues and my preference is for the nio for it's tuning, versatility and comfort.
Volur looks nice ...
