 Spammers have much more money than the regular user because spamming is profitable. Money doesn't help that much.  

 There are spamming accounts now using AI to reply to posts in ways that look like a human but in a way that fosters their agenda. 

The spam we saw until now it child's play. What's coming is much harder. 

 Spammers love proof of work. They have the money to pay for any work you want. Bots love work. 

 What I hear is that people want to talk to other people, regardless of how much value they bring. 

 It always helps. Your relays can use to tag spammers. 

 No. It might actually help the bots blend in.  

 Spammers have much more computing power than humans in this network. It doesn't work. This is not Bitcoin. There is no scarcity here to make spam get more expensive as we go. Having computing power is the opposite of being human. 

 PoW costs are extremely small. The only way to break their scalability is to turn on large PoW filters, which means every post, zap and like takes 2% of your battery.  

 Choose better relays.  

 You have to hide by words. Just add ReplyGuy to your hidden words in the security filters.

 Yep, the app doesn't have a local database. It will reload every time you kill it. Don't kill it.

Amethyst doesn't show all notifications. It only shows the notifications you were either directly cited in the text or that you are the author of one of the posts it cites. 

That's because too many people just spam you by adding your key to any event out there.

 Disabling damus and nostr.mom is the big brain move. 

Also, nostr.wine as Public Inbox is less ideal because it requires payment from the sender to send you a notification, which no one will pay for that. :) 

 Yeah, It has been hard to explain this well in that short text in ways that anyone could understand. 

Outbox does receive your posts. But that's irrelevant. The reason that list exists is to let your followers know where to get it. The app will send to other relays as well, but your followers should use the Outbox list to get your posts. 

And yes, the General relays only exist because of the old model. My current thinking is to add Tor so that the app can connect to random relays out there to download posts via Tor (so they don't track you). Meanwhile, the app uses the General List as the "authorized relays" to connect to and download posts.

 The toggle between the edited version and the original version shows on the left of the post's time. It will only show if there is an edit. 

Other clients only show the original content. They have to support edits to display the rest. 

 Everybody is right given infinite time. 

 Or maybe they are just plain wrong and didn't understand what is truly needed to replace people. Engineers do that all the time. Solve 20% of the problem thinking that's 100%.
