Me, in high school in the 1990s: hoping every class period would be just watching a video so I didn't have to learn anything. 
 
Me, online in the 2020s: hoping none of these links will lead to watching a video because I want to learn something. 

 Hiring manager: We need somebody with more than 10 years of experience because we don't believe in training or development, but less than 10 years of experience because we're also don't plan to pay very much. 

 One of the many ways remote (and hybrid) work makes us more productive than working from the office: it's way easier to fold laundry during a conference call. 

"That doesn't make you more productive—at least not from your employers' perspective!" 

Yes, it does. A boring meeting NEVER gets 100% of my attention. I'm way more attentive to the call at home during which I fold laundry than I am to the meeting in the office during which I check my email.

 Woke up before anyone else to the sounds of a storm starting, and managed to get the dogs out before it really started pouring. Now, I’m sitting in the recliner in the living room, listening to the rain. If I’m very lucky, everyone will sleep in for a bit and I can snooze here while the weather rages out there.

Break your big, overwhelming tasks down into smaller, more manageable pieces. 
 
Then, seal each of the pieces in a small lead-lined chest. Bury them in separate locations. Tell no one what you've done.
