If you look at a plate with a cheeseburger and fries, chances are only 1/3rd of the calories are from the meat. If you pass on the bread and fries, etc, no one is used to eating 3 burgers (and you don't really need to do so either)!
This isn't a slippery slope, it is just stupidity. The same way some US colleges stopped requiring freshman to know how to swim, because it was racist.
The #bitcoin rabbit hole is a deeply personal journey, shining light on cognitive blindspots, discovering truth in the world, and yourself. It is hard. Like overcoming any addiction or dark shadow, it requires honest introspection and the help of community. But, the rewards of happiness, serenity, and freedom are life-changing. Enjoy the journey, with much thanks to all who are contributing to our success.
Honesty and full transparency is hard, but always wins. The "walled" gardens are not honest and transparent, made even worse by the distortion of political agenda.

I was listening to a rich, US citizen say a wealth tax is beneficial because it would help stop the growth of the deficit.
I noted the assumption that politicians would not use the new revenue to borrow up to ~20x it's amount (at a ~5% interest rate), and increase spending, the deficit, and inflation. "Do you trust any politicians not to borrow against the new revenue and spend?" No answer.
The fundamental problem is not economic, it is political.
Truth

Property tax is not an unrealized gains tax. Nowhere in your property tax bill are they calculating any sort of gain. The tax rate applies to the assessed value of the home.
Bharat Ramamurti graduated from both Harvard and Yale. He knows better. Shame on him, and those like him.
Bringing attention to it is good, but I'm not sure that we should laugh at mental illness. Same goes for Trump, who I've also heard described as "hilarious." These people are causing harm.
Happy #Bitcoin Infinity Day, freaks!
Healthy choices are a gift to yourself, and those that rely on you. A partial menu of ideas is below. #PV
Be humble, stack sats (preferably at daybreak) -- with bonus points for...
No alarm
No caffeine
No alcohol
No drugs
No porn
Low time preference
No ultra processed food or refined sugar
Exercise
Laughter
Learning something new
Teaching something old
Hope for humanity
Belief in power bigger than yourself
🎯 We are all products of our environment. If your take the time, and find the courage, to cleanse your environment of outside influence and focus on learning, accepting and loving yourself, without the distraction of external noise, you can find peace and serenity. You can then choose to re-introduce influences which compliment and add to happiness, without comprising truth. I think the tough part is conquering the loneliness, which is the withdrawal symptom, and filling the void with trust, love and faith in yourself.
Beautiful wisdom. My deep thought for the day: Problems start when people make short term or harmful decisions to fill their voids. Instead, try to make choices which allow for sovereignty over the long-term. Live below your means. Don't react to the latest crises or fad, just listen and think, ask questions, then choose to act or not. Stay flexible and open-minded, admit when you are wrong, building conviction slowly, like water flowing down a stream, allowing time to reveal the best path.
You can add aerobic exercise to the short list of best practices, but 💯🎯. Stop eating ultra-processed industrial garbage, bread and refined sugars, fight through the sugar withdrawal for a week, eat lots of fiber and beef and eggs, and watch your health rebound like you never imagined. #pv

I cringe when thinking back to the introduction of margarine, marketed and promoted as a cheaper and healthier alternative to butter.
Criminal is the harm from fiat food.
Talking to CFO normies, saying "look how fragile the financial system is when Japan can't raise rates +0.25% without causing panic across the globe." They don't get it. And then they tell me bitcoin is a ponzi, which, after you scratch below the surface, is code for "no one taught me the value of scarcity in college, so it isn't an investment."
So, my thought for the day: Bitcoiners, enjoy Summer, sun your privates (or whatever defines PV for you), take time off, and enjoy life ... because, holy fuck, we are so early yet, it is totally mind blowing.
Control what you can control, and have faith in the rest.
