I have been caught off guard by how childish some of the reactions have been to the assassination attempt on Trump. For better or worse, historically, it's an American tradition.
That said, I am kind of coming to the realization that we've just witnessed a [baby] coup on Biden. The next couple of weeks will be interesting for this administration.
After WWII and the war on terror, it seems widely realized that for the extended foreseeable future, no one could win the world.
It's all deterrence and seat at the table shit now.
Power is an intoxicant. Regardless of the individual, it is as corrupting as any unchecked addiction.
For the benefit of anyone in the blast radius, it should be as fleeting and as limited as it is effective at creating change.
