If your public key is used anywhere you go - all clients - in the Nostr realm, doesn't that make us vulnerable to being profiled by companies to use for advertising?
In other words your public key acts like a persistent advertising ID?
(I'm new to Nostr so forgive me if I've misunderstood!)
Can anyone recommend a spec list for a PC (that will run Linux) that will be a self hosting server?
(Self hosting a website, and home media server. So doesn't need much power?)
Amazing article from #ShoshanaZuboff that explains how #bigtech took over, why they are #antidemocratic, and what we can do about it:

Spoiler alert - we need to ban #SurveillanceAdvertising, the fuel of #SurveillanceCapitalism
Resist using #algorithms, people - that's the path to #microtargeting and therefore #manipulation, and therefore #fakenews and lack of faith in the truth. And from that you get a herd of dumbasses 😂
