increasingly convinced that the term magic as it's used by writers like crowley, eliphas levi, and the like is equivocal with how it's used in everyday life, that despite their posturing, the occultists have actually sacrificed numerous essences of magic, science, and religion in their pursuit of the "one true religion," and that much of the problems i've had in trying to approach occultism have resulted in this misunderstanding (which i think is the result of a deliberate obfuscation of the fact by writers of occult science)
