Mir geht's um innovative Sachen, unabhängig davon ob App oder Weboberfläche. Also keine Dienste, die besonders hübsch sind oder Twitter gut nachahmen oder sowas. Sondern Dienste, die was anders machen..
Aktuell sind wir ja etwas blind, wenn es um den Traffic auf @3d266150 geht, der von #Mastodon kommt. Aber es gibt zumindest Indizien:
Der von mir gestern zu China gepostete Link hat fast zehnmal so viele Besuche aus unbekannter Quelle bekommen, wie über Mastodon – und gleichzeitig fast keine anderen mehr. Wenn auch nur die Hälfte davon von Mastodon kommt, wäre #Twitter als Trafficquelle längst überholt.

Thanks for your replies, I assumed that this behavior was intentional because of the privacy-focus of #Mastodon. If this isn't the case, and it maybe could even be solved, it would be really great. It seems like this isn't only generating problems for me (which aren't that important, to be honest).

It is possible, that this behavior is not even new: Before the nice new preview-cards we would always post a preview-picture, suppressing a potential preview. Because I liked the preview, I asked my colleague to stop that and just post the link and let #Mastodon handle the rest.

Doch gibt es und da steht auch explizit "Navis aus". Eventuell werden die Apps dadurch auch daran "gehindert", von den Sperrungen zu erfahren?
Jedenfalls hilft das nicht bei der Planung der Routen, da heißt es ja einfach, dass man da langfahren kann. Hätte ja ne ganz andere Route genommen sonst.

Die iOS-App wollte ich eh mal angucken: Das klingt aber alles nach Sachen, die eher so Mastodon-spezifische Sachen "lösen", als wirklich neue Ideen. Aber mal sehen. Danke für die Hinweise!
