Man, I’m still a young bitcoiner but I’m at a really cool place where I can recognize that I might never help as many bitcoiners as Lopp but I’m definitely not a clueless noob. I was a clueless noob the last wave of adoption. Now, the best thing I can do is be a friendly face for our next wave
This hits close to home. The issue that I’ve been facing is that people actually seem to care about pronouns. However, when one mentions the idea of “broken money” and how we might fix, there is no emotional hook, it’s too abstract, and people cannot even see the problem. A “he” being called a “she”, on the other hand, very bad
No. In 33 years, I’ve never heard pronoun use cause actual issues in real life. To your point, I cannot believe that pronouns take up this much of our political conversation when we have all these real problems that I can see and feel every waking moment.
Imagine working your whole life trying to earn money by solving problems, and later learning that the money itself is the biggest problem that needs solving? Not “bad people”, not “the devil”, not <insert other identity>, but the actual currency itself. It really is no wonder that non-bitcoiners are incredulous. 🤯
