I used to wish all the devs got along, then I realized it’s far better if they’re fighting each other as there’s far less chance they’ll collude against us non-devs 😂
@TC If the avg block time shows 10m 2s, how come the blocks in the last 24 hours show 145? Wouldn’t there be less blocks since the average block time is more than 10 minutes?
Also how do you calculate the hashes per block? Oh wait, that would be based on the hashrate right?
Lastly, what is Epoch 432 referring to?
Thanks, as always so grateful for timechaincalendar.com 🔥 https://i.nostr.build/Kzn6Nv2hG1ik3Gud.jpg
A crazy addition to dating these days would be wondering whether your date had been vaxxed as they could say they weren’t but there’s no way to prove it.
Did anyone see this show, Continuum? I often think about it these days, might re-watch at some point.
Though I remember being really disappointed in the final couple episodes, there was much that was pointing to where are going, faster than I ever thought possible.
I don’t remember it all, but do recall the massive power that the heads of huge corporations held, and how people ‘knew’ them in the way we ‘know’ Elon, Bezos, Zuckerberg, Fink, Sam Altman, Jensen Huang, Pavel Dhurov, Gates etc today.. really weird https://i.nostr.build/Pgx9rNKuoCqg0RQ1.jpg
Yes please!! If you’d like to be in touch with someone who is currently translating it into Turkish and has set up a way to do translations more easily DM an email and I’ll connect you ⚡️
Sending strength and love 🧡🫂I’ve appreciated your honesty and presence and determination to keep growing and choosing health and to keep stacking⚡️ Good things are coming ✨
Does this mean @Blockstream Jade can be used as a stateless device?
I guess any hardware signing device could be used as a stateless device, if you destroy and re-enter the seed each time, right?
(Still wish the Jade had better physical security to prevent the possibility of a compromised chip exchange. Any updates on that @Blockstream ?) https://i.nostr.build/3crxwiVJgTfYB1V5.jpg
First posted this here and on twttr over a year ago.. many tried but so far the sats are still there.
✈️ Possibly a good way to travel with your seed?
You need an unforgettable way to decipher it ofc ;)
👥 Ideally you would give a copy to a trusted person for redundancy (telling them the decryption cipher as well, or not.. or give half to one person and half to another?)
Pretty sure I’ll get shredded for suggesting this 😂 Open to comments..
🕵️ It’s worth a lot more now, perhaps someone will crack it!
While I don’t want to lose the sats, I would love to know if this method is solid. https://i.nostr.build/JkkBUuPyMHGcX0wB.jpghttps://i.nostr.build/Q0aXztimD5PbhDUQ.jpg
That, or just add a passphrase you memorize and carry the seed plain text in two parts..
As always with every aspect of Bitcoin security it’s trade offs all the way down..
Personally I like redundancy, so def two distributed copies .. for example in your suggestion above, I’d give someone else (or at least bury somewhere) the part you carry (obviously not the same person you gave the last X words to :)
And yes, for sure burn the seed once funds are moved when you get where you’re going
Thanks yes, I’m not a fan of Bitkey requiring biometrics and not having a screen to confirm the address afaik.
Was wondering about Bitbox and Keystone, ever tried those?
So many times it’s bizarre! One of my recurring dreams, always crazy but never really terrifying.
And not just cars but trucks, busses, weird vehicles.. and always sketchy roads, tracks, cliff edges, you name it! 😂
Thoughts on the Bitbox and Keystone anyone?
Never used either and with *everyone* lol calling now wanting to ‘get into’ bitcoin, curious if these are better than Coldcard or Passport in any way?

Jade is great except for one important detail - it is possible to open, replace the chip with a compromised one, close the device, and it will function!
The way to mitigate for this is to be sure to flash the firmware before setting it up, as it will not flash if the chip has been compromised.
While this is currently an unlikely supply chain attack vector, I don’t like that it is possible at all, and as bitcoin becomes more valuable supply chain attacks are more likely to increase.
I have spoken to the @Blockstream devs at a conference, and they know this is a problem and are working on a solution, but could not tell me when a new version would come out.
As I see it, a simple solution is to make it such that if the device is opened, it cannot be closed again without breaking, like the ColdCard.
It just occurred to me that not a single one of us here have ever experienced #bitcoin at this level of purchasing power.. regardless how ogee or newbee you are, this is a new moment for all of us together 😄🧡
The one benefit I’m aware of is 100% privacy. That said, there is trust required that the mint will honor your token, so best to use for only small amounts.
