As things are progressing, it is very possible that in the next few years, you will be able to ask AI to create an app for you based on your idea. It should be able to develop and deploy it for you, most of the time.
I know many developers are uncomfortable with this, but I happen to believe it will trigger one of the greatest phases of development no one has ever seen before, and the field of development will finally become a creative field rather than manual labor. Development will be democratized.
Now we just have to focus on not letting AI get centralized; the open-source community is already doing a fascinating job. It's mind-blowing what the open-source AI community has been able to achieve so far.
I think it also depends on how they are utilizing AI. If they use it as a tool, like smart autocompletion or Copilot, it can be very productive, and you're still doing all the thinking. I won't take any credit away from that person.
But I also get what you're saying. If someone asks AI to 'create a nostr client,' copies an existing repository from GitHub, modifies it, and rewrites it, that's not innovation.
We're going to need people with a deeper understanding of IT and development for a very long time. Tbh, I'm not sure if AI can ever replace that.
However, in all this chaos, I also think we'll find some interesting things for sure. 😂
Why does NostrNet still use device storage, and why am I not using Nostr relays to store that data?
It's just too much data, especially when considering Nostr account backups. Even excluding backups, there are still too many types of data. I also don't want to dump unique data into relays; I don't think that's good practice. I also don't see the merit in keeping your app list public for everyone.
I think the best approach here will be to use Nostr for connectivity with external storage solutions, including built-in strong quantum-resistant client-side encryption. The user sets a custom password to encrypt the NostrNet data before uploading and decrypts that data using that password when they want to restore or sync NostrNet on some other device. All the encryption & decryption process happens locally.
Overall, no trust is involved. By the way, I am open to suggestions.
This data doesn't include your Nsec; it includes all the NostrNet data, including its built-in wallet.
I know it sounds a little complicated, but you just have to set the password and remember it. That it.
Nothing is more satisfying than watching a random gaming streamer gain more views and audience than mainstream media.
Media has consistently been hostile to the gaming community, initially portraying us as psychopaths for engaging in alien-killing games.
Even now, they can't discuss the gaming community without resorting to stereotypes in every line.
True on many levels; keys also make it easy for developers, but without key rotation or universal recovery (similar to what legacy web have with email), it also becomes a liability. Many users aren't ready for that, especially when features like passkeys, one click login. I also happens to believe in case of nostr, we can offer passkeys like feature in trustless manner. I think that should be our goal.
I just merged the new version of NostrNet. This will now be the main NostrNet app.
It uses better and more secure tech, utilizes browser engine to render the WebApp, along with many new features.
If you've already installed the app, you don't have to do anything; just let me know if you encounter any problems.

It's funny watching "Bitcoiner" mocking the world's only decentralized and permissionless social media protocols on the world's most censored and centralized social media platforms.
Be cautious when downloading your NosterNet backup; backup files will also include your NosterNet wallet login. Be careful with those files.
I'm in the process of developing an encryption mechanism that requires you to use a password for encrypting this data during the download.
You can utilize the same password to decrypt the data when needed.

Something very significant has happened in the gaming and game development world. It's highly symbolic—someone has finally managed to crash the Tetris game.
If you want to understand why this is such a big deal for the gaming world, you should watch this video.

The unfinished obelisk is nearly one-third larger than any ancient Egyptian obelisk ever erected. This obelisk, which is 25m long today, if it had been finished by the ancient Egyptians, would be almost measured around 41.75m (137.0 ft) and would have weighed nearly 1,090 tonnes, a weight equal to about 200 African elephants.
This obelisk was studied in detail by Reginald Engelbach in 1922. Its creation was ordered by Hatshepsut (1508–1458 BC). This piece that was left unfinished due to the appearance of some fissures in the upper part of the obelisk, is very important as it shows us how the ancient Egyptians cut and removed the obelisks.
So the illegal child trafficking ring conspiracy theory was true, wasn't this literally being called the 'wildest & stupidest' conspiracy theory?
Now we know it was there for decades, and it was used by one of the most high-profile individuals who literally run things.
This is insane when you think about it.
Upcoming NostrNet will come with weekly auto-update notification.
Upon clicking the notification, it will initiate the process of fetching all your data from the relays, saving a copy of it, and update your data across all relays.
In-App database to store that data. This all happens locally, without even a external notification server

The latest NostrNet update is now live, it includes:
New ScreenTime feature for analyzing your usage.
Full Nostr Backup service support, essentially making it a part of NostrNet.
It's Inbuilt lightning wallet also got updated.
Now I have to go with my friend, Happy New Year 🤗

When you legalize corruption:
Sam Bankman-Fried saw six charges dropped, including campaign finance violations and bribery conspiracy.
SBF reportedly donated $100M in the 2022 midterms, with substantial amounts to dark money groups.
Different people have different visions for Nostr.
Personally, I envision Nostr as a hub for the development of freedom tech – technology that we and future generations can use as a hedge against global technocrats and future tech dystopia.
Nostr feels like a ideal place for individuals to come together and start working towards a better future.
All processing and storage are happening locally; at no point does any data leave your device. I'm literally writing these algorithms from scratch.
This series of updates will be focused on making NostrNet way smarter and more personalized.
I want to enhance the NostrNet app’s intelligence without compromising privacy.
The app should comprehend user patterns, display metrics to the user, and suggest new apps based on user preferences.
Importantly, all processing and storage are handled locally, ensuring that none of the data leaves the user’s device & its FOSS.

Wow, btw better version of NostrNet is coming tomorrow, that will handle larger numbers of apps properly, you can also transfer your current app list to new version using Backup/Restore feature.
Yeah that's the best thing about Nostr, its very flexible.
You don't really have to exactly follow the protocols as defined. You can leave the NIPs. You can even make many changes on client side without break the protocol. In the future, if we have consensus, we can implement a new NIP alternative to the current NIPs.
So that is one plus point of Nostr. It's very flexible, unlike Bitcoin.
Yeah, Nostr in itself is very different from Bitcoin. Apart from the Bitcoin libraries it uses to generate public and private keys, everything else is very different.
Nostr is very versatile; you can do a lot of experiments on it, this is the exact part that makes devs so excited about it.
You only need a client to publish a new event, and a relay to accept that event. Anyone connected to that relay, using a client with an interface to display the new event, will be able to see it. You can even have your own relay attached to a client; in that case, you don't need relays to accept your new event.
