I'm still unsure which way to go with paperstr: Should it just be a client, reading all the papers published by different users or should it be a guardian, curating what is being published and using a pair of keys to publish the approved papers?

Hi Nostr, if you are an independent researcher or know someone who writes papers or would like to write one, please comment here!
I finished some important tests on Paperstr and would like to get in touch with researchers to collect papers and ask for some feedback!

I have everything in BTC and USD, everything I receive in BRL I convert in the same minute.
today the proportion is:
90% BTC
9% USD
1% BRL (I needed to pay some bills and ended up converting my USD)
OK, no problem. I generated this key so that the publication of the papers was unlinked from my personal key. Can you give her access please?
@078293d5
I'm linking it to the platform. If you want, you can revoke access for my personal key
Updates on paperstr (I don't have a name yet, but for now this one works for me)
Tests using blossom have been a success, in addition to the integration with nostr, I can easily integrate PDF rendering. I'm still worried about storage time, I might need to keep some backup, but that's for later.
Thank you for your support and access to the server @hzrd149 I will continue working on Blossom integration here!

I'm looking for the best way to store PDFs, for now I'm testing IPFS. The next step is to integrate into nostr and find an optimized way to classify papers through notes to facilitate the search.
Another point is the author's lightning address, I think it's important to facilitate possible donations directly to the authors. For now I just added the field, I need to think about implementing this.
As always, I'm open to suggestions!

This is the next step, I did it with IPFS because it was easier at this time of testing.
Do you have experience working with NIP96? I wanted to clear up some doubts.
Thank you very much, I am only concerned about the issue of the files' lifetime. Some studies may never be accessed, but I still need to maintain them. Is there any way to prevent the file from expiring?
Thank you very much, this will help me a lot. I'll try to test it this week. I'll take a deeper look at the implementations!!! 🙂
I'll let you know the progress here
I took advantage of Friday to start developing the interface for publishing scientific articles on nostr. The idea is to be a free, decentralized place for everyone. We all know about the censorship imposed by universities. We pay moral taxes to be able to publish our articles, this is absurd.
Anyway, I have a lot of code and challenges ahead of me. If anyone wants to contribute, send me a message using NIP-17.

I didn't think about the name and I'm honestly not worried about how beautiful the interface is.
The focus is on its usability and the biggest challenge is behind the interface.
I don't think this competes with researchgate, but the idea is to bring decentralization and free access to information using the nostr protocol for this
I have a presentation to give at the company today, about the resilience of critical systems. 1h30 left and I still don't have the presentation ready.
I'm going to need a caffeine shot!
