Using #android after having used an #iphone for several years is a surreal experience.

Many things are great, and the app ecosystem is *vast*. However, I keep finding things that are either #braindead or a #privacy nightmare.

1. Work profiles share SMS messages with the regular profile.

2. Enumerating installed and running applications on the phone requires NO permissions at all.

3. Adding call information to the calls list requires providing access to make and intercept phone calls.

4. There is a permission that apps can activate that will prevent screenshots, and random apps will use it for no reason (hello #Newslaundry devs).

5. There is no way to copy pictures onto the clipboard.

The list goes on an on.. Every day I discover a new thing that makes me shake my fist in anger.
 The #enshittification of #reddit continues.

Reddit is removing the option to prevent Reddit from tracking users to deliver advertising.

Stick to #federated platforms folks.
