I think we've established pretty strongly what makes a great money, but we haven't yet landed on what makes a great payment system.
As with base layer Bitcoin becoming money, there are countless tradeoffs with Lightning becoming the payment system.

Lightning Network offers far more redundancy such that 87 separate entities would have to end their relationship with me in order to stop me receiving payments.

Censorship resistance is putting it lightly.
Flagging doesn't stop commerce.
What you're describing would require that an enforcement agent be able to stop a Bitcoin transaction, which isn't realistic.
