Bitcoin doesn't care who wins a US Presidential election. It can't. It's software without feelings. However, traders and investors have feelings. A lot of them, as seen by a new #Bitcoin ATH on election night.
Welcome! I see this note on relay.damus.uo and nos.lol but since I'm replying, my client which is Amethyst, will blast this note to all of my relays. 🫂💜🤙🏻
I just got back from voting. I'm #646 at my polling place 🤣 I saw some of my Bitcoin signs on the way there 🥹
Our polls close here in about two hours. So we should see something after that.
Both! Nostr is a protocol. Damus is an app that uses the protocol. Think of it like sending and email with Outlook or Gmail. Both of these apps use email protocols. Right now I'm talking to you on an Android app called Amethyst. Pretty cool, huh?
Hrm. Well, I don't know what this means, but love Jack or hate Jack, dude is just another Bitcoiner in an open monetary network. Bitcoin is a tool and doesn't care about who uses it, because it can't, it's just software.
With the outbox model, we finally have an alternative to my spaghetti model.

I honestly trust Nostriches more than most in this world. That's because of that layer zero social connection that's bonded by our appreciation and understanding of proof of work and value for value.
Seeing that people are already waiting hours in line to vote is wild and mind blowing to my rural mind. I walk in, get confused to be my dad by some elderly person that knows my family, but I don't know them, I vote, and I walk out. It only takes me a couple minutes.
What is the Nostr Outbox Model? #HOWDONOSTR
The Nostr Outbox Model (NIP-65) allows users to define which relays they want to use for sending notes directly within their profile, improving efficiency and relay management. By declaring this in a special event kind via their profile relay settings, users set preferences on where their events should be sent. This reduces user confusion and fuels decentralization.
The simplest take away here is that users no longer need to have a shared common relay between them to communicate. Clients handle all of the heavy lifting for them. This change simplifies both the client experience and relay coordination, aligning with decentralized social networking principles.
With the Outbox Model, users can use a variety of small and community relays, and still communicate with one another.

It's a long and complicated process. First, I enter all of the relays onto a spreadsheet. Then, I go into my kitchen cabinet and find the box of angel hair spaghetti. I then choose a single strand of spaghetti for each relay that I have entered on my spreadsheet. Next, I break each piece of spaghetti into a specific length, making sure that no piece is within 1 inch of another one. The next part is crucial to this process. I ask my wife to boil a pot of water for me. While, that's boiling, I take careful measurements and assign each piece of spaghetti a relay ID on my spreadsheet. Once the water is boiling, I instruct my wife to cook the spaghetti and to let me know when it's done. When the spaghetti is cooked, I carefully remove each piece as to not break, rip, or stretch the individual strands. Next, I throw those fuckers at the wall. Whichever ones stick, I pull off of the wall and measure their length. I then compare the lengths to the spreadsheet and find the approximate corresponding value. The relays that have corresponding spaghetti that sticks are then saved onto my Nostr profile.

Fuck it. I nuked relays down to 14. My contact list went to 105. I YOLO'ed and went went to a few solid people I trust and ninja'ed their follow lists. I'm calling this a win. Thank you jackCamerifalsefaucet for the contacts 😉
