I thought Ditto would be easy to recommend to everyone but ran into many issues. Even the advertised ditto username is still not working. Had to post this from primal because ditto says blocked? For what?
This is frustrating. Imagine new users trying to figure all this out

Does anyone know why nostr can't follow activitypub account? I'm using ditto pub to follow pixelfed and didn't receive any follow notification. I checked my pxlmo followers list and not listed there either. Is there a problem with @Ditto right now? Would you know @Alex Gleason 🐍🚬

Who and where this post will end up and that's the problem with nostr!
Missing different interactions from other users has to be my least favorite design of nostr and this is similar to activitypub where some people think you have not replied (or like/share etc). So far Bluesky (atproto) is wonderful since all views are the same

I'm confused about this. If I set five relays and others are not connected at all to the relays I use, how will they see my posts? Please help me understand
Had to switch to another client (primal) because ditto pub went offline. 502 Bad gateway message from cloudflare
With nostr you can easily switch. I don't think you can do that using anything from activitypub protocol like mastodon or pixelfed, right?

When you buy bitcoin using proton then you will need a lightning wallet. Install and then transfer bitcoin to the lightning wallet
Make sure to always test using small amount first. Have fun!
My experience was different. I tried the installation on Ubuntu (accepting all default value) and it was up and running without issues. I didn't test fully and just wanted to get to the first screen.
On @Ditto I created an account and then when I finally got around to follow account, I couldn't. No error message or anything. I reached out to developr and was told to go to another client and follow accounts then come back which I thought was very strange but will try that next.
Received 1 and then sent 1. The ditto icon shows sent but receiver did not get anything. Does that mean fees could be stopping it? Do you know the minimum?
Getting my account created was two clicks using ditto. Great job!
Now the hard part is lightning address. Many guides point to Alby. Need invite. Start over. Told to use node. Too technical.
Any easy to follow Nostr guide for lightning address?
