I read in the news that kids with neuro-psych disorders are failing at school to a frightening degree. I would like to read studies *not* of the history of recognised neuro-psych disorder diagnostics and treatment. But instead the social history of people who presented the same symptoms before the current medical model of neuro-psych disorders was created. 1/2

I don't think the news I'm reading really means "a new group of kids has started to fail at school". It probably means "we have realised that the kids who have always failed at school can predominantly be fitted into the current medical model of neuro-psych disorders." 2/2

I suffer from GMing withdrawal. Only run one sesh in the past 7 weeks. I want to get back to three sessions a month. We're playing Hot Springs Island next. #ttrpg
The #Scifi Book Stores in #Stockholm and #Gothenburg are one of Sweden's most profitable businesses in book retail. They sell tabletop games as well. So at their recent equity issuance I did something unprecedented and bought some stock.

The Stockholm #Scifi Book Store is bang in the middle of the Old Town's main tourist street, where almost every other shop space offers either tacky souvenirs, meals or snacks. Big shop, hundreds of square metres on two floors. It's amazing that they can make that work!

Children are vague on geography and tend to assume that any place they know well is well-known to everyone. They will use obscure place names and get confused when you have never heard of them.
One of the kids I grew up with used to talk about his or her summers at "Haverdal". Neither of us had any idea of where it was on the map. Now I learn that it's a nature reserve in Halland, SW Sweden.
