Yesterday I forgot I had a zoom meeting with my college because i suddenly decided I really needed to go to the library and get HAM Radio for Dummies. My zoom meeting has been rescheduled for next Monday and I put an alarm in my phone so I won't forget it. I don't want to go to school to improve my career, I want to spend all my extra time and money on obscure technology. I got back from the library and started reading the book and taking notes, but it was mostly suggestions to read more online, and the ballpoint pen I was using to take notes sucks.
Anywayyy are there any other radio enthusiasts or handwriting enthusiasts in here? #hamradio #tapr #packetradio #amateurradio #meshnetwork
i like to post about Satanism bc I'm an edgy metal dork. Just a clarification in case anyone here is having trouble with metaphors: I'm an atheist. I think Satanism is a great metaphor for being rejected by Christian society.
Satan is not a supernatural creature, it is a metaphor for self-determination. Sometimes, thinking of things in the third-person is helpful in changing our perspective. Satanism is not about believing that demons exist, it is about repurposing the psychological tools of Christianity to reduce fear and anxiety.
The Satan within you believes in your strength, your beauty, your intelligence.
The Satan within you believes in your kindness, your ambition, your patience.
Believe in the Satan that believes in you! Find that in yourself which is Satanic, and nurture it.
I'm a proud Satanist. :) Satan is the symbol that Christians have chosen to label enjoyable activities that are not part of their dogma.
When you hear a song and start moving without thinking, that is the power of Satan.
When you walk by a dark window and watch your own reflection, that is the power of Satan.
When you enjoy a nap after a big meal, that is the power of Satan.
Originality is a farce :) stop dwelling on whether your art is too similar to someone else's and just make more art. Anyone who has ever "written a song" and then had the first person they showed say "isn't that just Smells Like Teen Spirit?" knows this to be true.
You can do itttt! :) there's so much you can do with non-digital art. I think a lot of ppl get stuck on the first type of art they did that had any financial success, and then they suffer the problems of that art form while being afraid to try others because they'll be a beginner again. t's ok to suffer for your art if that's what you're into, but you have to think about the difference between making art about suffering and making art via suffering.
I know someone who was an amazing welding artist who had to give it up due to physical injury. There's a whole Greek god about it. (Hephaestus) If you're into that kind of lifestyle it's fine to put yourself through that, but you can also decide to stop at any time.
